In the first half of 2026, China’s shipment volume of humanoid robots exceeded 40,000 units, accounting for 97% of global deliveries, marking the industry’s advance into an in‑depth phase of widespread real‑world adoption. Powered by policy support, industrial clustering, capital input and open application scenarios, Shanghai is spearheading the national drive for humanoid robot industrialization. Municipal authorities have set clear targets: to deploy 100,000 humanoid robots in factories by the end of the 15th Five‑Year Plan period, and achieve over 80% adoption rate of intelligent agents among large‑scale industrial enterprises. Shanghai will build more than 50 specialized pilot‑scale testing platforms covering new‑energy storage and humanoid robots, alongside an industrial fund system spanning the full lifecycle of future industries, pioneering sectors and industrial transformation and upgrading.

Covering a planned exhibition area of 24,000 square meters, this edition will host over 400 high‑quality exhibitors worldwide. Rooted in Zhangjiang, Pudong New Area, Shanghai hosts hundreds of key humanoid‑robot enterprises with nearly 90% local supply capacity for core components. It is home to China’s first national‑local joint humanoid robot innovation center and a dedicated embodied‑intelligence training ground. Exhibits encompass bipedal humanoid complete robots, wheeled hybrid robots, and end‑products for industrial, service and special‑purpose applications; critical core components including servo motors, precision reducers, joint modules and high‑precision sensors; as well as cutting‑edge software solutions such as embodied‑intelligence large models and autonomous decision‑making control systems. Multiple newly‑iterated products featuring lightweight bionic bodies, high‑dynamic motion control and multimodal human‑robot interaction will make their global debuts for on‑site testing. Notably, the country’s first embodied‑intelligence training demonstration site co‑launched by the National‑Local Joint Humanoid Robot Innovation Center and Huawei, together with the Shanghai Humanoid Robot Pilot‑Testing Service Platform built in partnership with Shanghai Electric Group, have commenced operation in Pudong. They form a complete industrial loop covering data collection, model training, real‑robot practice, process optimization, small‑batch trial production and standardized pilot‑scale maturation. These shared infrastructure foundations underpin the solid industrial groundwork for the exhibition.
