Innovation Selection Program - Proposal

I.  Award Purpose

In recognition of the enterprises, institutions and individuals that have achieved outstanding innovations in the global humanoid robot and full robot industry chain, to set benchmarks for technological development and commercial application, and to foster the construction and healthy development of an industrial innovation ecosystem, the “Golden Rooster Award” innovation selection program is hereby established.

II.  Award Positioning

Authority: Reviewed by a top-tier expert committee to ensure professionalism and impartiality.

Foresight: Focuses on technological breakthroughs, forward-looking vision and future potential.

Leadership: Guides the direction of industry development and capital investment, and promotes the translation of innovation into real outcomes.

III.  Organization

Host: Organizing Committee of the 2026 Shanghai International Humanoid Robot & Full Robot Industry Chain Exhibition

Review Committee: Composed of globally renowned academicians in the robotics field, scholars from leading universities, partners of well-known investment institutions, CTOs of leading enterprises, and experts from key end-users.

IV.  Award Categories

The following six award categories are established to comprehensively cover all segments of the industry chain:

1) Best Humanoid Robot of the Year Award

Selection Criteria: motion performance, interaction capability, degree of technical integration, innovativeness, and industrialization potential.

2) Key Technology Breakthrough of the Year Award

Selection Criteria: technological originality, performance metrics, extent of solving industry pain points, and impact on the future industry.

Sub-areas: motion control, AI and embodied intelligence, dexterous hands, joint modules, sensors, etc.

3) Core Component Innovation of the Year Award

Selection Criteria: product performance, reliability, cost advantage, innovative design, and contribution to domestic substitution.

4) Best Scenario Application Solution of the Year Award

Selection Criteria: innovativeness of application scenarios, maturity of the solution, and practical economic and social value.

5) Most Investable Innovative Enterprise of the Year Award

Selection Criteria: team strength, technological innovation barriers, business model, market prospects and growth potential.

6) Industry Promotion Contribution of the Year Award (Individual / Institution)

Selection Criteria: outstanding contributions to industry-chain collaboration, technical standard-setting, ecosystem building, and international cooperation.

V.  Selection Process

To ensure fairness and transparency, the selection is divided into three stages:

Stage 1: Application and Nomination (July – September 2026)

Enterprises and institutions may apply directly through the official website (www.humanoidrobotfair.com). Members of the Review Committee and partner industry associations hold nomination rights.

Stage 2: Preliminary Review and Public Notice (October 2026)

The Review Committee conducts a preliminary review of the submitted materials to produce a shortlist, which will be publicized on the official website and partner media.

Stage 3: Final Review and Awards Ceremony (December 2026, during the exhibition)

Shortlisted candidates deliver on-site defenses or product demonstrations. The Review Committee determines the final winners based on the defense performance and public feedback. A grand awards ceremony will be held at the exhibition welcome dinner or main forum.

VI.  Promotion and Benefits

Honor and Authoritative Recognition: Winners receive a trophy and certificate jointly issued by the host and the Review Committee.

Premium Brand Exposure: Comprehensive, multi-angle coverage of the winners across the official exhibition platforms and partner media network.

Precise Resource Matching: Priority recommendations to top-tier investment institutions and industry partners at the awards ceremony and follow-up events.

Exhibition Showcase Privileges: Award-winning products or technologies may be specially displayed in the dedicated Golden Rooster Award honor zone at the exhibition.

VII.  Timeline

Program Launch: July 2026

Application and Nomination Period: July 1 – September 30, 2026

Preliminary Review and Public Notice: September 15 – September 30, 2026

Final Defense: December 8, 2026 (the day before the exhibition)

Awards Ceremony: December 9, 2026 (the first day of the exhibition)

This program aims to effectively stimulate industrial innovation through the establishment and execution of the Golden Rooster Award and to make it one of the most anticipated highlight events of the 2026 Shanghai International Humanoid Robot Exhibition.
